Ranger 5000 Models

Problem: My unit has channels locked out of parental control and I forgot the code.  How do I restore my unit to factory default settings? This procedure can also be used to solve many other problems.

Answer: You first turn off the unit. Then press on the remote "2225388" You will see the unit display "Fdt". This means all functions and memory are erased and unit is back to its original factory setting.
